About Our Boarding Service:
My aim is to ensure that your pet has a safe and stress free holiday while you are away on yours. All lodgers are treated with the same loving care as my own.
I am a experienced pet store manager with a well establish pet superstore (Pets at Home) and have been for the past 5years. I am a fully qualified SQP as deemed by the AMTRA board. Covering the areas of all domestic animals. I also hold the PCT (Pet Care Trust) qualification and have a vast knowledge when it comes to the care, housing and treatment of a wide range of domestic pets.
We have kept Rabbits and Guinea pigs as pets ourselves and I have over 20 years experience of the care of small pets, we know how important it is to know your pet is being well looked after and happy while you're away.
Accomodation:
Your precious furries will be boarded in a home from home environment. Spacious, purpose built accommodation in our secure outbuildings which are cool in summer and heated in winter. Cages are individual extra large guinea pig and rabbit with plastic base and airy cage top. We do not house your pet in impersonal uninsulated wooden boxes. You are welcome to bring your own pet accommodation if you wish to help your pet feel at home.
Exercise:
When weather permits furries will go out onto the grass for Daily playtime in their own covered run, with tunnels to hide in, log rolls to climb on, houses to play in and toys to play with etc. You are most welcome to bring any toys/igloos that your pets use, to make them feel at home, although these can be provided during their stay. Your pet will also receive one on one handling daily to reduce the risk of fretting etc.. while they are away from home.
In the warmer months of the year additional playtime is given to all Rabbits and Guinea pigs in sheltered runs on the grass in the orchard so your pets will spend most of their day here playing outdoors.
Guests are never allowed to mix at Furry Land, only if they live together as a bonded pair/group normally.
Health & Hygiene:
Our main concern is for your furries welfare. We only take a few boarders at a time, so they can have some personal attention every day.
Our outhouse's have insulated walls and a radiator system installed, we also have ventilation fans and windows for hot day.
All accommodation is cleaned twice weekly.
* Litter trays in all Rabbit hutches to provide continuity in litter training, or you can bring your Rabbits own litter tray if you prefer.
* Fresh fruit and vegetables daily, according to your pets preference.
* A plentiful supply of fresh hay all day every day.
* Daily health check and grooming.
* Pets with special needs welcome.
