Small Pet Boarding Information

About Our Boarding Service:

Roma Rabbit Lodge is delighted to offer luxury pet boarding for your Rabbit, Guinea Pig or other small animal.

At Roma Rabbit Lodge our priority is your pet’s welfare. We aim to provide the very best in animal guest accommodation, with secure indoor hutches and individual outdoor runs, all set in an idyllic country setting. We have a maximum number of pets staying with us at any one time to ensure that each of our guests gets all the love and attention they deserve.

And because we understand just how important your pet is to you, we offer some extra services to make leaving them with us that little bit easier. For the kids, there’s the opportunity to take a Polaroid photo sticker of their pet to carry with them on their travels. And for adults we will happily send a text to you during your holiday to let you know everything is fine - both at no extra cost.

Please book early to avoid disappointment. Inspections welcome.

Accommodation:

All our Rabbit and Guinea Pig guests are kept in newly purchased 5' and 4' individual hutches respectively.

Hutches are housed within secure sheds. The doors and windows are protected with heavy duty wire and fly screens for the safety of our guests.

Other guests will be housed in their own cages within additional secure accommodation.

Exercise:

Our Rabbit and Guinea Pig guests will have the opportunity to go out during the day in separate runs (weather permitting) to enjoy their holiday surroundings.

For safety, Rabbit runs are placed on concrete floors, Guinea Pigs on grass, and guests will be supervised at all times.

Health & Hygiene:

Rabbit & Guinea Pig guests are fed twice daily with Timothy hay, fresh vegetables & herbs (from our own gardens in season) and an appropriate pellet food.

If your pet is on a mixed food, we ask that you supply this as a sudden change in diet can cause health problems.

Fresh water is always on tap. Mini bar upon request!

Other guests are fed daily per your instructions to us.

If your pet has any special dietary requirements, just pop it in writing so we can follow your instructions.

Rabbits and Guinea Pigs are also covered by our comprehensive pet insurance* and we have an established relationship with a local vet should anyone be taken ill.

If you would prefer that we contact your own vet, please let us know at check-in.

To ensure the well-being of all our guests, all rabbits must have been vaccinated against myxomatosis within the last six months, and against VHD within the last twelve.

A vaccination card must be presented at check in. Please note that we cannot accept rabbits for boarding within 14 days of their first vaccination.

*Should your pet require veterinary attention, cover is provided up to a maximum of £350 per pet with no excess payable.

Small Pet Boarding Tarif

Rabbits & Guinea Pigs £4.00 per day (£5.00 for two sharing).

Large hutch with attached run, suitable for a giant or two rabbits sharing £5.00 per day (£6.00 for two sharing).

All Rabbits & Guinea Pigs can be treated against fleas at an extra cost of £3.00 per animal.

Chinchillas £4.00 per day (£5.00 for two sharing).

Hamsters, Gerbils & Rats £1.50 per day (£2.50 for two sharing).

All payments must be in advance.

A deposit of 20% is payable 2 weeks before arrival.

Guinea grooming is also available comprising a wash, blow dry and claw clipping for £10.00.
