About Our Boarding Service:

Nutwood Bunnies run by Jayne Symonds provides holiday boarding for your pets on a short or long-term basis - run by pet lovers. We understand how difficult it can be to find someone to care for your beloved pets, just the way you do. We treat them exactly the same as our own pets, giving them lots of love and attention, with daily cuddles and grooming, and playtime in a secure run with lots of toys! We want to give our customers total peace of mind when they are enjoying themselves on holiday.

We have kept and bred rabbits for 21-years now and love them all dearly. We currently have five furry family members of our own!

We are Members of the Rabbit Welfare Association, The British Rabbit Council, and are also known for our appearances on the BBC's Animal Hospital programme when we adopted 'Chaz' who became very famous and even received fan mail!

Accomodation:

Whilst your pet is boarding with us, our main aim is to ensure that they are as happy and contented as possible, and remain in the best of health.

All our hutches measure 6ft x 2ft x 2ft. This size complies with the Animal Welfare Act (April 2008).

All hutches and runs are cleaned-out on a daily basis and totally disinfected when "guests" check-out!.

While your pet is on 'vacation' with us, we ensure they receive daily:- Fresh Water - both on hutches and runs: Fresh Hay: Fresh Veggies/Fruit: Playtime in secure runs: Cuddles (and grooming if required): All-over checks - twice in warmer weather.

A claw-clipping service is available. Please enquire at time of booking.

You are welcome to bring along any of your pets' favourite toys and treats to help make them feel more at home. You can use your own feeding bowls, bottles and litter trays if you wish.

Exercise:

Your Bunny or Guinea Pig will come out to play daily in large secure runs, either on the grass or patio area.

We supply a large range of toys, including tunnels, boxes, balls, rattles etc.

On hot sunny days, a large gazebo is erected to provide shade on the lawn.

Health & Hygiene:

All Rabbits must be vaccinated against Myxomatosis and Viral Haemorrhagic Disease (VHD).

All pets boarding with us must be in good health and any medical conditions discussed with us at time of booking.

If your pet becomes ill during their stay, we will inform you immediately and consult the vet.

Small Pet Boarding Tarif

Our daily rates are as follows:-

Rabbit Single £4.20 per day
Rabbit Sharing £5.95 per day
Guinea Pig Single £3.00 per day
Guinea Pig Sharing £4.50 per day

A £10.00 non-refundable deposit will secure your pets accommodation, followed by full payment on day of arrival. Cheque (with Bankers Card) or cash accepted. We are sorry but we do not accept Credit Cards at present.

These rates include the day of arrival and collection, regardless of the time of day.

I currently operate a booking schedule, but drop-off and collection times will be made to accommodate individuals needs.

For very busy travellers, a collection/delivery service is available should this assist them (small charge).

Location:

We are situated in the village of Eggington, Bedfordshire, which is a quiet location within easy reach of local towns and other villages (1-mile from Leighton Buzzard).
The M1 Motorway is a 15-minute drive (J12), the A5 just 5-minutes away and Luton Airport easily reached in 25-minutes

We are currently receiving guests from Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Cambridgeshire.
