About our Small Pet Boarding
RabbitsGuinea PigsBirdsHamsters, Mice etc.FerretsWith over 30 years experience looking after animals I grew up in an animal loving family where we always had pets. Apart from the dogs and cats, the house was full of birds, hamsters, rabbits, we even had a pet goat, a couple of sheep, chickens and ducks, amongst other friendly creatures, mostly belonging to me and cared for by me.
In addition I am a seasoned horse rider and have experience looking after horses and ponies, as well as other farm animals.
Somehow animals tend to feel safe in my company and more than often animals will approach me to seek help and refuge. I often end up looking after rescued pigeons, rabbits, cats or dogs, even a wild rat, as they somehow find me when they need help (maybe it is because I actually notice them).
My vet is very supportive and always offers her services to give check-ups and treatment when it is necessary.

Exercise:
All pets have opportunities to play and exercise under supervision.
I have only a few animals taken on full board at one time so that I can ensure that each of them gets enough of my time and attention. They will be talked to, cuddled, and played with, if they wish the interaction. They will be left alone if they wish peace and quiet. :D

Health & Hygiene:
I give fresh food and fresh water everyday.
I clear out and spot clean litter and bedding everyday.
I completely clean and renew bedding and litter regularly and as when is needed, all according to our individual agreement.

Contact me to discuss your expectations and your pets' needs. I am sure we can agree something reasonable and suitable to match your expectations and your budget, as prices may vary depending on duration, distance, number of pets, plants or visits.

All prices shown are indicative only, and negotiable, depending on duration and number of little guests, and type of care and attention they need.
Pets on full board might need to provide evidence of vaccination :)

If you wish, I can bathe and brush your little friend so they feel more comfortable, beautiful and smell nice.
They indeed sometimes need a bit of extra TLC especially if they have long hair, or are becoming a bit more senior.

Flo gave our four rats an activity packed holiday while we went away for a couple of weeks. They came back healthy and happy, and Flo also expertly managed the boys when they were scrapping... We were given regular updates and photos so we could relax in the knowledge that the boys were having as good a time as we were! Highly recommended...

We were in desperate need for overnight care for our two dwarf hamsters Lacy and Luna. With a quick google search at the top of the list was Flo. With this being my first time leaving our babies, I was a bit nervous. Flo put every worry at ease, was so quick to respond and assure me all could be sorted by the next day. If you like me need animal care for your little pets, Flo is your girl! I will without a doubt use her services again.

Flo looked after our 2 dwarf hamsters for 8 days whilst we went on holiday. She was brilliant! Great communication beforehand, to explain and make arrangements. And she kept in touch whilst we were away too, sending us pics of our hamsters so we could see how they were. She was really kind, friendly and helpful and also very accomodating with our 'last minute' request! The hamsters came back happy, well and clean! Would definitely recommend :)

I could not be happier with the service I received from Florence. She was able to provide home visits for my 3 rats at short notice. She messaged us and sent pictures every day and went over above to look after our pets in unexpectedly hot weather. It made our holiday much more enjoyable knowing they were well taken care of. Especially because they have medical needs at the moment. She even watered our plants! I can not recommend highly enough. Thank you Florence!

Our rabbit Coco spent a happy week with Flo in August. It's particularly helpful that Flo has hutches, we didn't need to haul ours over to her house. Flo took great trouble to prepare a welcoming hutch and make sure all was ready. She let our rabbit out of the hutch to explore each day which was very nice. And she sent us messages and even videos during the visit - unexpected and very comforting! Highly recommended.

Flo looked after Zippy & George, our guinea pigs and 'Audrey' our Venus Fly Trap whilst we holidayed on The Norfolk Broads. Everyone had a lovely stay with Flo. Zippy & George has a couple of 'spa' days, their fur was ever so soft and Audrey got so attached to Flo, she didn't want to leave by holding onto the window blinds! We had great communication from Flo before, during and after their stay. I would highly recommend using Flo for all your small pet & plant needs. We left our chinchilla for 2 weeks with Florence. Florence is the 3rd person we have been left for taking care our chinchilla since we live in Bristol and she is by far the best one. She knows very well how to take care chinchillas and she was sending videos and pictures everyday. I entirely recommend her service.

Hi, I would like to thank Florence for all the kindness that she offered to our babies. We left our two guinea pigs, Elvis and Jerry l, with her to two weeks while we were in holiday and she did a great job taking care of them. She also sent photos of them eating and playing on a daily basis which gave us a lot of confidence that they are in good hands and also allowed us to enjoy our holiday knowing that they are in safe hands in a quiet and cosy home.
