About our Small Pet Boarding
RabbitsThe Rabbit Residence Rescue has been a registered charity since 2012 and we rescue rehabilitate and rehome over 100 unwanted or neglected pet rabbits each year.
Our team members are all fully trained with expertise in behaviour, welfare and nutrition as well as holding certificates in correct handling and storage of veterinary medicines. We take part in regular CPD to ensure our knowledge is up to date allowing us to provide better care to the rabbits.
We are members of the Rabbit Welfare Association and keen to promote their principles.
Accommodation:
We are always upgrading our facilities to suit our rabbits needs so we have a wide range of accommodation options for holiday boarding.
They include:
Duchy farm kennels (8ftx6ft or bigger) - £10 per night
Rabbitopia - £9 per night
Aviary (with solid felted roof) with hutch/playhouse (min 10ftx8ft) - £9 per night
Aviary (with mesh roof) with hutch/playhouse (min 10ftx8ft) - £8 per night
Shed (6ftx4ft) - £6 per night
Welfare Hutch Co Hutch (6ftx3ft) - £6 per night
Outdoor giant hutch (6ftx4ft) - £5 per night
If your rabbits are elderly or have long or medium length fur we recommend boarding them in a shed, kennel or giant outdoor hutch to keep them dry during poor weather.
Exercise:
We are passionate about rabbit welfare and providing rabbits with large 24/7 predator proof spaces with a range of enrichment to allow them to exhibit natural behaviours alongside a hay based diet complimented with high fibre pellets and fresh vegetables, herbs and forage to promote physical and mental wellbeing.
Health & Hygiene:
We require all rabbits to be vaccinated against both Vhd2 and also myxomatosis/vhd1.
We don’t allow boarding rabbits into grass areas due to potential risks of spreading internal parasites.
Veterinary grade disinfectant used in all enclosures.
Access to an exotics vet if your pet becomes unwell during their stay with us.
Small Pet Boarding Prices
£8 to £12per pair of rabbits per night inclusive of food depending on accommodation choice.

My bunnies were adopted from here and go back to holiday board whenever needed. They are always spoilt and love to relax there in the peace and quiet of the Hertfordshire countryside. Their health is the most important thing and Caroline's health checks are fab and she's always on hand to offer brilliant advice.

Brilliant place for bunnies. I am a nervous traveller because one of my bunnies has special medical requirements and needs careful attention. I have total confidence that they are looked after and cared for by experts who truly understand rabbits. I loved the texts updating me on their well being. Mine will be back there soon!
