Rabbit Boarding Information

About Our Boarding Service:

A friendly family run holiday home for small animals; providing professional personal care for all your animal(s) needs.
Previous experience includes employment as a veterinary nurse, qualified in animal care diploma level 3, as well as knowledge in other animals including horses, dogs, cats, fish and birds.

Accommodation:

All rabbits and guinea pigs are provided with clean single and double hutches suited to their individual needs/ preferences and requirements. (You will need to provide your own cages for Chinchillas).
We use shredded paper/shavings and straw. Carpet can be available on request. Unlimited Hay is also provided. All hutches are kept within an undercover enclosed area, with secure enclosed indoor runs allowing exercise within the winter months for all rabbits,Guinea Pigs and Chinchillas. In the warmer months, rabbits and guinea Pigs have access to outdoor runs with constant supervision and security. During night time all animals are safely shut in their hutches in our indoor area. No rabbit or guinea pig will be kept in their hutch over a 24 hour period. Rats are also kept within this enclosure unless temperature falls below 7 c then they will be kept within the home.

Hamsters, gerbils, mice, birds etc. are kept within the home; owners are to provide own cages.
We also board chickens.(coop provided).
You are welcome to bring with you any toys and written instructions that will make your animal feel at home and happy.

Exercise:

During the warmer months your pet(s) have access to outdoor runs.
During colder months your pet(s) have access to our indoor runs. Still allowing them to stretch their legs and play. We provide a wide variety of toys.

Health & Hygiene:

For the protection of all our boarding animals, rabbits must be vaccinated against VHD and Myxomatosis (at least two weeks prior to arrival) Current vaccination certificates must be seen upon arrival, as well as overall health check of the animal. No animal will be admitted showing any visible signs of clinical illnesses or distress.
If your pet does become ill whilst in our care, or needs veternary assistance we will call the attention of our local vet. Any treatment will have to be charged to you directly from the vet under your name and address, however you will be contacted immediately if we have any concerns. Your choice of vet is also offered if preferred. If directed, simple medication will be given. We care very strongly for your animal and only act within the animals best interest.
All animals are groomed and examined daily.
All hutches are cleaned daily and thoroughly disinfected weekly, to ensure health and hygiene for your animal.

Rabbit Boarding Tarif

Cash only payments to be paid in full on arrival.
There is no fee charge for any unexpected cancellations.
All fees includes bedding, hay, fresh fruit and veg' on a daily basis. Grooming also included.
However, we do request that you provide us with you own water bottles to maintain hygiene and prevent any cross contamination. Food bowls are provided.
We also ask that you provide all your animals food and any other dietry requirements; Their stomach is quite sensitive and therefore change of diet could cause stomach upsets.

Boarding fees:

Rabbit: £3.50 per night (£2.00 per additional rabbit sharing a hutch)

Guinea pig: £3.00 per night (£1.50 per additional Guinea pig sharing a hutch)

Chinchillas: £3.00 per night (£1.00 per additional Chinchilla sharing a cage)

Rabbit & Guinea pig sharing one hutch: £5 per night

Hamsters, Gerbils, Rats & Mice: £1.50 per night per cage

Chickens: £2.00 per night per coop

Other Caged Birds: £2.00 per night per cage

Declaration sheets are to be filled out with appropriate information before animals are left within our care; we we accept no responsibility for any incidents which occure (All incidents are listed on our declaration sheet)
