About Our Boarding Service:

Going on holiday can be a stressful time, not least because you worry who will take care of your beloved pet.

Let us take the worry away, our holiday boarding evolved after requests by various people to look after their pets as they knew they would be well cared for. We are not a business, this is something we enjoy and therefore we do not run ourselves as one, we treat your pets like one of our own.

I am a qualified RHA (Rodent Health Advisor) Rodentologist with BAR (British Association of Rodentologists).

I specalise in Guinea Pigs, but have a good knowlege and understanding of small furries. Not only will I take good care of your precious pets, but am available to help and advise you with any concerns that you may have.

I have 6 piggies off my own, as well a a dog, 4 cats (who love our small furries) and 2 budgies and have kept guinea pigs and rabbits for many years.

Accommodation:

All boarders are housed individually in twin compartmented spacious clean hutches.

Hutches are a solid wooden construction covered with roofing felt to top, back and sides, ensuring they are fully weather resistant.

All your pets belongings kept in individual boxes.

Boarders are kept in hutches close to the house, therefore ensuring they get plenty of human interaction.

Small rodents and tortoises are kept in the home.

Plenty of fresh fruit and veg, Readigrass, bedding and hay supplied.

You are welcome to view before boarding, please phone to arrange appiontment.

Exercise:

Your Piggies will be put in a secure part covered run on the lawn during the summer months (weather permitting) and exercised inside during bad weather.

Rabbits all have their own run attached to their hutch for all year exercise and can be allowed out 24/7 if this is your request.

The garden is secured by electric fencing to further ensure your pets safety.

Health & Hygiene:

Your pet is checked daily for signs of illness or injury.

All hutches are cleaned every other day and disinfected with a proprietary disinfectant between boarders.

It is preferable that rabbits have been vaccinated against myxomatosis and VHD before boarding, but this is not compulsory.

GUINEA PIGS -
£1.75 per day for 1 guinea pig
£3.00 per day for 2 guinea pigs in same hutch
£4.25 per day for 3 guinea pigs in same hutch

RABBITS -
£3.75 per day for 1 rabbit
£5.00 per day for 2 rabbits sharing

New for 2009 -Especially Designed for House Rabbits or Free Ranging Rabbits larger hutches with run attached for all day turnout.

HAMSTERS, GERBILS and MICE £2.00 per day (please bring own secure cage and food)

TORTOISES £2.50 per day, please bring heat pad/lamp.

YOU ARE ASKED TO BRING YOUR OWN FOOD AS THIS ENSURES NO STOMACH UPSETS.

Why not treat your piggies while your are on holiday, our grooming service includes shampoo and blow dry.

Piggies should be bathed every 3 months to avoid skin problems.

Bathing includes de-tangling, trimming (if required), blow drying and kept warm until dried.

Bathing and toe nail clipping £5.50 for short-haired

£6.50 for long-haired

Hair trim only £3.00

Nail trim £2.00 free with shampoo and hair trim

Worming/Parasite control combined also available at £2.50
