About Our Boarding Service:
We promise to treat your pets as if they were our own. We've been rabbit and cavy lovers for several years and are well experienced in their care, and offer a high quality and inexpensive service to anyone looking to board their pet.
We'll have a good chat with you and ask you to fill in a form when you bring your pet so we know their personalities and preferences, and likes and dislikes.
We'll provide your pet with all bedding, fruit, veg and unlimited grass and hay but we do ask that you bring their usual dry food, as we are unable to stock every type and don't want a change of diet to cause upset tummies.
Being animal lovers the care your pets will receive will be well beyond the call of duty as we genuinely enjoy caring for animals and there's no better sight to our eyes than a happy, lively cavy or rabbit!
Accomodation:
All pets are homed in our large, secure outbuilding and so are completely safe from the elements and predators.
Pets are never allowed to mix, unless already brought in bonded pairs or groups. We have a variety of large hutches, and don't charge any extra for two-tier accommodation!
Exercise:
We believe your pets should spend as much time as possible out of their hutches enjoying exercise and so have built large indoor playpens (over 100 square feet each) full of toys and tunnels and amusements, as well as outdoor runs. These have been a huge hit with every pet who's stayed, and when out of their hutch, pets are supervised at all times, as we know the mischief they can often get up to!
Health & Hygiene:
We'll check your pet on a daily basis for any sign of illness, injury or disease. Please note that all rabbits must be vaccinated against Myxomatosis and VHD.
Hutches and the playpens are kept clean on a daily basis, and are regularly disinfected, especially between boarders. We hate dirty hutches and have a scrupulous regard for health and hygiene.
Rabbit Boarding Tarif
We can look after your pet for any length of time, from one night upwards, and no deposit is required. Prices are charged by night, like a human hotel. If you live within 5 miles we also offer a free collection/delivery service and beyond 5 miles we only charge for the cost of petrol - please make sure you ask in advance though!
Prices are:
Rabbits - £3 per night for a single rabbit, then £1.50 extra for each additional bunny
Guinea Pigs - £2 per night for a single Guinea Pig, then £1 extra for each additional Guinea
All other small pets - £1 per night per pet
We don't charge extra if your pets have to be housed separately, and we don't charge extra for two-tier hutches either.
There are discounts when boarding many pets and for long stays - please contact us for more details.
You can pay by either cash or cheque.
Reaching Us
Open Hours:
We don't have strict opening hours, so if you would like to visit prior to boarding your pet, you'll be able to come at a time that suits you. But please give us a call before your visit so we're ready to greet you!
Location:
We are located in Heywood, Greater Manchester, within minutes of both the M60 and M62 and are within very easy reach of Manchester, Bury, Bolton, Rochdale, Oldham and Ashton, and have had people coming from all over England to board their pets!
