Dogs Best Friend - Claire's Pet Services

We were so glad to find Claire! We were going away for a fortnight and needed local care for our two BIG boys! Although we were constantly worried prior to the holiday, Claire visited numerous times to get to know the boys and us. Not many people could even consider a puppyish Newfiedoodle and a Weimaraner / Lab cross. Claire was brilliant - I was more worried for her than our boys but she rose to the challenge... and some! We had daily updates with photos, text and video clips - which actually made us homesick!

A huge thanks to Claires Pet services for taking great care of our 8 year old Rough Collie Leo this weekend..He is a rescue and anxious and nervous and can be reactive and we have never left him with anyone and he comes everywhere with us usually.. We wanted him to stay in his own surroundings and know Claire from seeing her with her dog walking on our usual walk..Having seen how well she manages the dogs in her care and how happy they are we asked her to take care of Leo so we could attend this wedding. We came home to a happy boy and we were kept upto date with how he was and what he was upto and could enjoy our weekend away without worrying about how he was. We have already booked a holiday and have another family wedding next year and can go with confidence that our boy is happy and safe and being taken great care of. I trusted Claire completely and have no hesitation in recommendation Claires Pet Services.

Claire is amazing! It had been a few months since my dog last stayed with Claire and Lucas and when we arrived at their house he just ran through the door to Lucas like he'd been there yesterday. Claire sends updates and photos of her walks with the dogs and they are always so nice to see. I don't have any worries when he's with Claire as I know he is so well looked after…in fact I think he's sulking a bit tonight because he misses Buddy too!

Claire looked after our 22 month old cockerpoo, Betty. Claire was amazing she sent regular updates, videos and photos. We were able to completely relax on holiday knowing Betty was being catered for in a home from home environment with plenty of walks and cuddles from Claire and Lucas. Betty was able to play with other dogs and had lots of fun. Claire's knowledge of dogs is very reassuring. Thank you so much. Claire looked after mine and my friends dog overnight and she did an amazing job with both of them, she kept us updated with pictures of them on walks and when they got back, they were happy and relaxed within her home and herself. Would definitely use her again and would highly recommend her.

Claire looked after my dog overnight whilst we were at my Daughters wedding . I can't thank her enough , I've never left him before but he was fine and Claire kept in touch and sent photos throughout the day of him on walks and looking very happy and relaxed. Claire looked after my dog over Easter - this was the first time she had looked after him overnight, but we had visited previously to ensure that he got on with Buddy, which he did. When I dropped him off he just ran into Claire's house and instantly found the ‘toy box' - which is full of bones and other doggy delights! He didn't bat an eyelid when I left! Whilst he was there, Claire sent me regular updates and sent photos of him and also the walks she took him on - and they were good long walks, for example up to Hartshead Pike. Claire clearly loves animals and I feel that she looks after them as she would her own. Lucas was also lovely and he clearly has the same affinity for animals as his mum. I would not hesitate to recommend Claire to anyone looking for pet services.

Claire looked after our 10 month old Labrador Mungo with the help of her son Lucas.Claire clearly loves dogs and her job. Her house is completely dog friendly with a dog sofa and there is a secure backyard. Mungo enjoyed taking the air on one of the garden chairs. We had lots of photos and updates of his adventures when out on lovely looking walks. He went swimming and had some other doggy playmates as well as the lovely Buddy. I would thoroughly recommend Claire to look after your dog anytime.

Claire looked after our rabbit Patch while we were on holiday, she provided an excellent service during a time when the weather was at its hottest. He was lucky enough to be kept in a spacious hutch in a shaded area of the garden, Claire went over and above trying to keep Patch cool and sent us photographs and updates to reassure us that he was fine. Claire also looks after dogs and you can see that her and her son have a genuine caring attitude for the animals they look after and treat them as they would their own. They also have their own dog who has a lovely nature. Claire was highly efficient when we were making the arrangements, she is a very friendly, warm person who makes you feel comfortable immediately, I would have no hesitation recommending Claire to anyone who wants their pet looked after in a home from home environment

Toby has been to Claire for another successful visit, stayed for 9 days and loved it as usual, he sulks when we bring him home as he misses Buddy. Toby needs a lot of exercise and he certainly gets it with Claire. 5 star service from Claire. Left our 3 year old Labrador, Bestie, with her while we took a 7 day holiday. She did everything possible to waylay our worries about leaving him for the 1st time by arranging a sleepover prior to the holiday then sending lots of photos & updates during our holiday. Bestie loved being in the company of other dogs & came home extremely relaxed & happy. Think he's looking forward to more holidays at Claire's!!

My two rescues Coco and Max have just stayed with Claire for a week s holiday. Claire walks them already so they know her Lucas and Buddy very well They made themselves at home straight away! They are older dogs and Claire knows exactly what s required to keep them happy safe and comfortable I was worried about leaving them and was so relieved when Claire offered to look after them. They have had a wonderful time as seen on the regular updated photos of them! I would highly recommend Claire and her family to take care of your pets as she is very experienced with a totally dog friendly home! Thank you for everything Claire Jx

Norman's stay was his 2nd with Claire. Like last time we knew he was in safe hands. Claire sends photos and updates regularly which is great. We were able to enjoy 2 weeks away without having to worry about Norman. Definitely booking again for next year.

Our 3 year old Lab has just finished his first home stay with Claire after a recommendation from a friend, he has thoroughly enjoyed his stay. He's an active, boisterous dog who likes lots of exercise and he certainly got that with Claire. I receive regular updates on how he was doing, as well as great photos of his adventures which was very reassuring. Claire is a lovely lady who has a great manner and understanding of dogs, Toby can't wait to go again 😊 I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Claire to anyone

There are insufficient superlatives to describe the level of service Claire offers as a dog walking and boarding service. After seeing her many times whilst out walking my labrador Ruby I knew she was the perfect person to entrust my puppy to. Her all round knowledge of all aspects of dog care led me with no reservations of leaving my little girl with her. Her home is the most dog friendly i have ever known and she allows her charges all the privileges they enjoy in there own environment. Ruby clearly loved every aspect of her holiday, from her daily lengthy walks, to relaxing on Claire's sofa and ultimately keeping Buddy company at night sleeping on Lucas her son's bed...what a superstar Lucas is and clearly as great a dog lover as Claire. Knowing Ruby was enjoying herself so much (confirmed by the regular photos and videos I received from Claire) meant i could relax and enjoy my holiday. I can't thank you enough Claire and Lucas, and of course Buddy and hope you are able to accommodate Ruby again in the future. You certainly set the bar very high for all other dog sitters!

It has been such a relief to find Claire, Lucas and Buddy to care for my 6yr old labbie, Acorn and 16 month labradoodle, Quenn, whilst I was away. I had previously been informed that Quenn was an aggressive puppy and naturally was very concerned that I would have difficulty in finding someone who would be prepared to take him on. From first contacting Claire she put me at my ease. She took the time to visit us before my trip to get to know Acorn and Quenn and reassured me right from first meeting Quenn, agreeing with my vet and vet nurse behaviourist that he showed no signs of aggression and was just a boisterous puppy. Buddy agreed, the two playing chase and be chased from the off. I knew I had struck lucky with Claire when I received an e mail from her with photos of a relaxed and sleepy Acorn and Quenn on their first evening away from home. This set the tone for my 2 weeks away; Claire sent daily pictures, videos and messages about their exciting days which generally ended with my pooches sprawled out fast asleep, two very contented dogs. I can't thank Claire, Lucas and Buddy enough for caring so well for Acorn and Quenn and for giving them as good a holiday as I had. We will be back!

We have used Claire for a few years now and would not leave with anyone else. Claire and her son Lucas are wonderful true dog lovers. Both our dogs look forward to going there and are well looked after. Claire gives them plenty of exercise and long walks. I would highly recommend Claire really took great care of my two dogs. They're both rescue dogs and my husky has eplisey so its very important that he is happy and settled they both had a great time. Claire sent me pictures and updates so so i didn't worry.

Domino has just returned from yet again another fabulous stay with Claire, Lucas and buddy. He had a ball! And this time even got to go on holiday with them and run for miles everyday in pet friendly accommodation with lots of treats! We know we leave him in such good care with lots of cuddles! We now check in with claire and then book our holiday as wouldn’t want to leave him anywhere else! 5 stat!

Harry (the Yorkie) has once again had a wonderful stay with Claire and her son. Harry could not be better looked after by anybody. Claire is so trustworthy, kind, caring and knowledgeable about dogs and their needs. She instinctively knows the best way to care for each individual. The first thing I want to say is thankyou claire... ur honestly our life saver!! Our lola has been going to claires since she was 12 weeks old and absolutely loves going there still... she gets the best day at claires amazing walks, socialising with other friendly dogs!! Claire has so much love for dogs I couldnt trust anyone else. She has been so flexible as me and my partner do shifts and she can always take her when we need it. Well what can we say but a very big thank you to Claire for looking after our dog Bobby whilst we went away for 12 days on our Easter Hols. Before he stayed at Claire’s he had a few issues with other dogs and could be a little snappy when meeting them but since his stay and being with other dogs he has changed and now runs and plays with them. Whilst we where away Claire sent us regular pictures of Bobby out and about with his new friends so we could see how well he was doing and it was peace of mind to see how happy he was being out and about on daily walks and not just stuck in kennels listening to other dogs bark all day. We are so happy that we have booked Bobby in for our next hols and can not recommend Claire’s Pet service enough. So thanks again Claire. Roger & Jean.

I am so happy to have found Claire to care for my little Yorkie(Harry) when I am away on holiday. The biggest concern when you go away is getting a trusted carer for your precious pet. I cannot praise Claire enough...Harry is testament to how well he was looked after while I was away in March. I would not hesitate to recommend Claire's Pet Services.

Just picked our dogs up after their first overnight stay with Claire- they had an amazing time! We are so pleased to have found someone we can trust after previously having a bad experience. Our dog Gillie went to stay with Claire, Lucas and Buddy for a day. From when we arrived we knew that Gillie would be well taken care of. Claire and Lucas put us and any concerns, we had previously had about leaving Gillie, immediately at ease. Gillie made himself at home instantly and Buddy was very patient as Gillie immediately started munching on one of his bones! When we picked Gillie up he was happy to see us but not in any rush whatsoever to leave. Would not hesitate to use Claire, Lucas and Buddy again when we are in the area, cannot recommend them highly enough.

I can't recommend Claire enough. Winston has spent his first weekend away from home and I think he wanted to stay. He really bonded with Claire and Lucas. I got lots of pics of their antics while I was away and that was reassuring to see him having such fun. Claire, Lucas and Buddy have been an absolute godsend since we decided to get our labrador puppy. From lead training, socialising with other dogs and pretty much everything in between they have been a wealth of knowledge and experience. Parker has stayed with Claire a few times now from overnight to longer stays. He always enjoys himself and the communication and photos of their adventures whilst we are away missing him are fabulous. Highly recommended to look after your dog as you would yourself at home.

I had my doggy Mylo stay here at very short notice so was a little bit nervey as I didn't know much about dogs best friend.. it turns out I had nothing to be worried about.. Claire was so nice and made me feel at ease and buddy is such a cutie pie. We received pictures everyday of them out on walks playing with other dogs. I could tell he was so well looked after and will be boarding Mylo again with Claire 1st class service. (Picture taken by Claire - how content is my baby!!!)

Claire was a huge help when we relocated to Manchester. She looked after our Oxley for 3 weeks and always updated us on walks and sent photos of him settling in. We highly recommend Claire and would definitely use her services again in the future.

Last year our Whippet Ada was recovering from a viral infection when we were due to go on holiday; she was on the mend but still not back to full strength, but I had no hesitation with her staying with Claire and Lucas for the weekend. They gave her the quiet and space she needed whilst she was on the road to recovery and on the last day of the weekend was well enough to get wrapped up and go out for a woodland walk with Buddy. Claire is so accommodating to the needs of your pet, and provides reassurance in the form of regular updates and photos so you can relax and enjoy your holiday. Ada now has a younger sister to annoy her (Cissy) and they are soon to go on their holidays again with Claire, Lucas and Buddy. Highly recommended!

If you are looking for a place to leave your pet knowing it will be loved and well cared for - don't look any further! Clare & family looked after our 12mnth old cocker spaniel last year. I was worried as never left him anywhere and all my worries were taken away. He had a ball. We have booked again ready for this years holiday and wouldn't go anywhere else!

Claire looked after our very active Westie, Dottie for 4 nights recently. Claire was excellent, made sure Dottie felt settled before we left, asked lots about Dottie's routine so she could work round what Dottie would need. Whilst we were away we felt at ease knowing how friendly and experienced Claire and her teenage son were with dogs and Claire was kind enough to send a few pictures to show us what a great time Dottie was having. When we arrived to collect her we could tell she had had a wonderful time, in fact I think Dottie felt we had treated her to a holiday! Buddy, was also lovely, really good natured and friendly and Dottie loved his company. Can't recommend Claire highly enough!!
