About our Home Boarding

Trails for Tails was established in 2011 and during that time we have built a good reputation and gain much of our work now from recommendations. We are Insured with Cliverton, CRB Checked, Licensed with Lewes Council and trained in Canine First Aid. Our Citroen Dispatch Van is fully crated to dog travel comfortably and there is no overcrowding.

Dogs have free access to all our downstairs living space and access throughout the day to our large secure garden. Dogs sleep in our living room and can bring their own bed but dogs generally sleep on our sofas. All dogs live as part of our family when they visit and we try to make them feel as welcome and relaxed as possible. Hugs and kisses are on tap during the day.

All dogs are walked twice a day in a variety of safe country locations - the morning walk is an hour long and the afternoon walk is about 30 minutes long. We will let dogs off lead if we have the owners permission and if they do a good recal.

Health & Hygiene:

All dogs in our care must be up to date with their booster and kennel cough and we keep dog's vaccination certificate on site while dogs stay with us. All dogs must be on regular worm and flea treatment.
All dogs must be microchipped.
We are happy to administer medication prescribed by the vet and help with any special dietary requirement.
All new clients are invited to come for a visit with their dog so they can meet us and some of our other dogs - this is an opportunity for new clients to ask questions and we access whether dogs will fit into and settle in our home. All new clients must complete a Dog Boarding Registration Form which contains details such as emergency contact information, vets contact details, microchip number etc.

Home Boarding Prices

We charge £18 per 24 hour period and require a 50% deposit to secure the booking and deposits are generally not refundable. The balance is payable in full two weeks before the visit begins.
