About Our Boarding Service:
Beds for Bucks was set up when we tried to find much needed accommodation and care for our loveable bun, and found that there wasn’t any small pet boarding we could take him to locally in Luton or Bedfordshire. So we hope to provide your bunny,piggy or chook with the same love and attention during their stay, that we show our own bunny.
I’m a member of the Rabbit Welfare Association and have kept rabbits, hamsters, goldfish, stick insects, chickens and budgies since I was a child, I currently have a male lop house rabbit called Mr. Pickles. We also have an Orpington Buff Chick, called Chelsea (may need to change its name to Chazza), 3 buff orp chicks Rhubarb, Custard and Crumble and four female quails; they do not have a free run of the garden, and are housed away from boarders.

Once availability has been checked, download our booking form from the contact us page. Fill out your details and email or post to me together with a deposit of 50% of the total fee. You will then receive a booking confirmation letter from us.
Accomodation:
When your pets come to stay with us, we want to make sure that they are as comfortable as possible. Hamsters and goldfish should be bought in their own accommodation, which they are used to. All our other guests have their own accommodation unless they are bonded and share their accommodation.
The accomodation is cleaned on a regular basis and litter trays, food and water bowls cleaned daily (sometimes twice daily) with Keep it Clean spray (see Health & Hygiene page for more info) and thoroughly disinfected after each occupant has vacated with Virkon (please see our Health & Hygiene page for more info) and sprayed with Johnsons hutch spray. At night the guests are put away in their accommodation and kept protected from the wind and rain, if they have access to an external run.
We also provide toys, litter trays, bowls, bottles, fresh veggies & hay as per your instruction. Plus lots of cuddles and strokes everyday from my husband and I.
Depending upon temperatures and the weather, in the outdoor hutches we can provide snuggle heat pads, or ice blocks. For the indoor pens we can provide fans, air conditioning and radiators in the winter.
We currently provide indoor wire pens that can be made into 5ft and 6ft long pens, 28 inch deep and approx 28 inch high.
All outdoor hutches are attached to runs, throughout the duration of your pets stay.
All hutches have made to measure covers to keep off the wind and rain and cover the hutches at night. All runs are covered over during bad weather and a night with waterproof tarpaulins.

Health & Hygiene:
Vaccinations required for our guests stay
Rabbits will need to have current and up to date vaccinations for VHD & Myxomatosis and provide a vaccination card upon booking. Vaccinations need to be carried out at least three weeks in advance of their stay.
Always allow a two week gap between vaccinations, as they cannot be given at the same time. Myxmatosis vaccinations need to be updated every six months and VHD once a year, as myxi is pretty rife in Bedfordshire and surrounding areas at the moment. Your rabbit will still need to be vaccinated, even if it lives indoors as a houserabbit as these diseases can even spread through insects in your hay.
Unfortunately, I’m currently unable to accommodate and medicate sick small animals or those showing any signs of illness. Please discuss any further special needs for example grooming and behavioural with me when checking accommodation availability, a donation will be required for extensive grooming.
I will require your vets contact information and pets medical history also your contact information or that of a trusted friend, incase I need to contact you in an emergency.
If an animal becomes sick whilst with us, we will take it to your vet, or to ours, whichever is closest. You are responsible for any vets fees and travel, and I will need to be reimbursed when you collect your pet.

Guinea Pig Boarding Tarif
Our guests will receive the following whilst on holiday with us: constant supply of fresh Hay, fresh water daily, a variety of fresh vegetables daily, cuddles and clean accommodation.
We charge daily fees as we still clean, feed and exercise our guests on the day of their departure, and discinfect down prior to use. Your booking form needs to be completed, once accommodation availability has been agreed.
You will need to provide your pets own dry food/pellets as there are so many available on the market, I can’t possibly stock all of them, and any change to their diet could result in ill health and digestive problems.

Small Pet Boarding Daily Rates:
£4.00 one rabbit/pig, £3.00 per additional rabbit sharing accommodation
The 6ft pen and large 6ft hutch is £7.00 per day for single occupancy.
Hamster & Goldfish £2.50 per day (you will need to supply their accommodation and food etc).
Chickens & Ducks £2.50, £1.50 per additional Chicken or Duck
Bank Holiday Daily Rates: £6.00 for one rabbit/pig, £5.00 per additional rabbit/pig sharing accommodation. Hamster & Goldfish £3.00 per day. Chicken & Ducks £4.50 each, per additional £3.50
The 6ft pen and large 6ft hutch is £11.00 per day for single occupancy
Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, News Years Eve & New Years Day daily rates: £8.00 for one rabbit/pig, £6.00 per additional rabbit sharing accommodation. Hamster & Goldfish £4.00 per day. Chickens & Ducks £5.00 each per additional Duck & Chicken £3 each per day.
The 6ft pen and 6ft hutch is £14.00 per day for single occupancy
Please note additional fees apply by way of a donation for extensive grooming (angoras etc) and rear guard spray
We can pick up your pet and meet you upon your return at London Luton Airport or Luton Airport Parkway train station for an additional charge, if it is not an ungodly hour!
