About our Boarding Kennel

the kennels are situated in the wye valley, on our small holding, there is a cctv installed for security, while the dogs are with us they have the chance to walk or play in one of the paddocks which is fenced all round or have walks up and through our fields or just plain road work, Again if the re-call is good they are able to play at liberty in the paddock.I have been doing the kennels for some 10yrs. have owned dogs all my life, and have also worked for the local council as a part time dog warden,the kennels are insured and also hold a full trading licence.I like it if prospective customer's bring their dogs when possible to meet me, if the dog is not happy with me then while the owner is away they will fret, loose weight and on return the owner wont be happy,i like my customer's both dog's and owner's to feel relaxed and at ease while their dog/s are staying with me.i am not a member of any professional group .i must make it quite clear that if any dog is on medication on no account must the owner with hold it while the dog is my care,it will be mentioned again later on.

Accommodation:

5x16, individual kennels bar the family kennel which opens up to 10x16,each kennel has over head heating which is out of the way of any dogs jumping up into it. the kennels are divided with clear divider's it enables the dogs to see and communicate with each other and not just them hearing another dog chat to them, the kennels are dog friendly even down to the paint, so should a dog decide they want to lick the paintwork it wont harm them. the outside structure is wood with a enviromentally friendly roof and the insulation is erdwick wool.also if the dog has it's own toys, etc then please feel free to bring them along the kennels can be scary ,i have most feeds, but if your dog has a specialist food then again please bring it,there is no re-duction in the fee though,sorry.

Exercise:

They have a paddock where they can play at liberty, or walks either through our fields or road walks, they will see our goat, sheep goose cats and horses

Health & Hygiene:

All dog's must hold a valid up to date vaccination card and the dogs must have the kennel cough jab, the vets i use for the kennels are Hafren vets, who are based in llanidloes, if i need to take your animal there i will make every attempt to reach you,if i fail to do that i will take your dog to the vet whatever and then the bill will be sent to you directly.On booking your dog at the kennels please ensure to make clear to myself if there is medication to be given while in kennels, please do not book your dog in and fail to bring or inform me of any med's that they maybe on at the end of the day their welfare is my utmost concern.i will turn away a booking if med's are not brought with you.

Boarding Kennel Tariff

this year's tariff start's from £12 single multi bookings can be discussed by phone or e.mail.
All fee's must be paid on delivering your dog unless other arrangements have been disscused when booking your dog in.If you have paid a deposit it is non-returnable, if you chose to come and collect early the booking fee will remain the same there is no refund. cash or cheque, but if by cheque please to save any embarassment make sure you have funds in your account.

I do a collect/deliver service if it is easier for my customer's and i go out as far as 30mls in any direction of the kennels there is a charge for that. i will tidy up a coat if that is needed if the owner asks. yes we do day care , and again if an owner
require's their dog walked from their home for whatever reason and i am able to do it then it is sorted out or i will pass them onto somebody else.
